Ooredoo Money Becomes First Fintech to Join Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s Single Window Platform

Doha, Qatar –  September 2026 – Ooredoo Fintech and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) announced that Ooredoo Money has joined the Single Window Platform as the first fintech company, under a cooperation agreement signed by the Ministry with Ooredoo Fintech Qatar. The agreement comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to expand the range of services available through the platform, strengthen integration with the private sector, and further develop the services provided to the business sector.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Mubarak Abdulrahman Al-Khulaifi, Director of the Single Window Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Ms. Mashail Abdulfattah, Country Head at Ooredoo Fintech Qatar.

Under the agreement, investors, business owners, and entrepreneurs will be able to apply for an Ooredoo Money Merchant Wallet as part of the Commercial Registration issuance or renewal process through the Single Window Platform, in accordance with applicable laws.

The service will facilitate access to digital payment solutions and financial services that support business growth, while reducing reliance on manual transactions and paper documents, thereby simplifying the investor journey and improving the efficiency of procedures.

On this occasion, Ms. Mashail Abdulfattah, Country Head at Ooredoo Fintech Qatar, said that enhancing financial inclusion for the business sector begins with facilitating access to financial services. She noted that integrating Ooredoo Money services into the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s Single Window Platform enables them to be offered at a pivotal stage of the business establishment journey, helping reduce challenges faced by investors and entrepreneurs and strengthening a more integrated and interconnected digital ecosystem that supports the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in the State of Qatar.

Mr. Mubarak Abdulrahman Al-Khulaifi, Director of the Single Window Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, said that the agreement forms part of a series of cooperation agreements concluded by the Ministry with financial institutions operating in the country, with the aim of providing high-quality services to the business sector, facilitating procedures, and enhancing the efficiency of services delivered through a unified and integrated digital platform.

He added that the agreement helps strengthen the role of the Single Window Platform as the main government destination for establishing and conducting business in the State of Qatar. It also reflects the Ministry’s commitment to expanding its strategic partnerships with various entities in a way that supports the simplification of procedures and the acceleration of transactions, enhances the competitiveness of the investment environment, and advances sustainable economic development pathways, in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
